Why sign-up for the Spring into Fitness challenge? It gives a purpose to being more active and helps to keep you on track.

It’s simple to join:

  • Pick your challenge.
  • Make a commitment and be accountable for tracking your progress.
  • Take photos or videos (optional). 
  • Do your best to meet your goals and stay on track.

This is not a competitive challenge, but instead a way to encourage each other to be more active.

A friend once told me that perfection doesn’t exist, so aim to be perfectly imperfect by doing your best! It’s important to remember, if you miss a day or stray from the challenge, you can start right back up again where you left off. We will support each other along the way.

You will be entered into a drawing to win a prize and we will randomly select one winner from the entries in a category (one prize for each category). Prizes include a yoga mat, yoga blocks, yoga band, digital scale, weighted gloves, and more. Keep us updated!

Spring into Fitness Challenge runs February 18–April 15, 2021. Registration is required before February 18. Receive a free Spring into Fitness T-shirt when you register using Eventbrite.

Register and Select your Fitness Challenge. Fitness Challenge details below:

Increase flexibility and improve balance: Activities that lengthen and stretch muscles can help prevent injuries, back pain, and balance problems. Stretching can also be a great way to get you moving in the morning or a way to relax after a long day. Activities such as yoga, Tai Chi, and Pilates combine stretching and relaxation and also improve balance. Remember, to warm up your muscles by walking for at least 5 minutes. Warming up increases blood flow, which increases the temperature in the muscles making them easier to stretch and helps to avoid injury. **PRIZE:  Yoga Blocks & Yoga Band

Daily Step Challenge (minimum 8,000 steps at least 5 days each week):  Why is it important to count steps? According to the National Institutes of Health, people who take 12,000 steps a day live longer than someone who takes only 4,000 steps a day. Walking is a simple way to ease into better health. **PRIZE: Resistance Bands

Maintain, Don’t Gain or Lose (5+/- 5l.bs):  If you’re already at a healthy weight, it’s important to maintain it for your health. A healthy weight can help lower the risk of heart disease, stroke, diabetes, and high blood pressure. Setting a goal to lose 1 lb. per week is usually considered to be healthy if you want to take off a few pounds. **PRIZE: Digital Scale

Exercise Challenge (at least 5 days each week): The recommended amount of physical activity for adults is 150 minutes per week. We know 150 minutes each week sounds like a lot of time. You can break it into 30 minutes a day, 5 days a week. The good news is that you can spread your activity out during the week, so you don’t have to do it all at once. It’s all about finding a balance that works for you. **PRIZE: 2 lb. Weighted Gloves     

Buddy Challenge: Encourage activity! Exercise is good for almost everyone and sometimes, we just need a friendly reminder. In addition to your fitness challenge, commit to recruiting as many friends or family members by inviting them to participate in this challenge. This will get you entered into two prize categories and double your chances to win! **PRIZE: Yoga Mat

Combo Challenge: If you can’t settle for one challenge, go for it! Try two or more challenges that align with your goals and are realistic for your time and energy. Regular exercise is good for you, and there are numerous benefits to mixing up your workout routine. Mixing it up with the Combo Challenge will help you beat workout boredom. **PRIZE: Workout Dice
