4-H Fair Entries

CLASS 1 – CLOTHING
All entries must be brought with a hanger and labeled with the exhibitor’s name, age, and the below category number.

Judging Criteria:

  • 40 points: General Appearance
  • 40 points: Color combination, cleanliness, originality, texture combination, pressing, workmanship
  • 20 points: Cut on grain, appropriateness and choice of seams, seam finishes, hem finish, appropriate choice and application of closures (buttons, zippers, snaps, hooks and eyes), design in relation to fashion and fabric selection.
  • Total points: 100

    • 1002 – Skirt
    • 1003 – Shirt
    • 1004 – Pants
    • 1005 – Sleepwear
    • 1006 – Apron
    • 1007 – Bag/Tote
    • 1008 – Doll Clothes

CLASS 2 – ART

All entries must be original work of the artists. Items must be labeled with exhibitors name, age and the below category number. * All art must be mounted ready to hang. No loose-leaf paper or coloring pages. No limitations on size for any art work. Any size will be accepted as long as it is mounted. *

CLASS 5 – PHOTOGRAPHY

Presentation: All photos are to be matted, mounted or in a frame. Print size can be no smaller than 4×6.

CLASS 6 – BAKED GOODS

In addition to entry, wrap a cookie, piece of cake, a biscuit, etc. separately for the judges to sample.

CLASS 7 – CANNED GOODS

Must be standard half-pint, pint or quart jar. Label bottom with name, age and address. Canned goods must have a label on the jar that states the processing method (pressure canner/boiling water bath canner) and the processing time.

All vegetables will be exhibited on a paper plate. Please designate name, age and address of exhibitor. Rotten vegetables will be thrown out and ribbons will be saved for pickup. Number in () indicates number to be included in exhibit.
