Smokies Ski Walking & Stone Workout Schedule


Meet at the Deep Creek Pavilion every Thursday (September 8 – November 3) for Weigh-In and a brief Lesson/Program using the Eat Smart Move More Weigh Less (ESMMWL) curriculum, presented by Dee Decker, Extension Agent – Family & Consumer Science. Enjoy a nice hike in Deep Creek using Ski Walking Poles and Stones presented by Rob Hawk, Extension Director.

The November 10 meeting will be a special celebration at the Swain County Extension Office. Participants can demonstrate the walking poles and give their testimonies and talk about their successes. This will be part of the Farm City event hosted by Swain County Cooperative Extension.
