Calling all crafters, quilters, bakers, and food preservers!

Have you ever wondered how your canned green beans stack up against someone else’s? Or wanted to see how your strawberry jelly or handmade quilt might impress the judges?
Now is your chance to shine!

Simply visit the Swain County Agriculture Fair website, complete the entry form, and drop off your items at the Swain County Cooperative Extension Office. Your goods will be judged—and if you win, you’ll be awarded a ribbon!

But that’s not all! If you’d like to display your creations on an even bigger stage—and maybe even win a cash prize—you can also enter your items in the Mountain State Fair! And thanks to the FREE Pony Express service, your items will be transported from the Swain County Extension Office to the Mountain State Fair and safely returned afterward. How great is that?

We’re looking for: Quilts, crafts, canned goods, and baked goods.

Important Dates & Details:
Adult Canned & Baked Goods, and Quilts Check-in:
Monday & Tuesday, August 18 & 19
9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Swain County Cooperative Extension Center
60 Almond School Road

Entries received after these dates will not be judged.

Entry Pickup:
Monday, August 25
10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
(unless your items are continuing to the Mountain State Fair via Pony Express)
